Lip Product Swatches #1

2008 May 3

Being the weirdo that I am, I often take pics of lip product swatches to add to my reviews on MUA and well, to also help me decide if I am on the fence about a particular shade I own. Doing this has helped me discover lookalikes in my stash, shades that are more fabulous than I thought, and shades that just don’t work.

So I present you..with some swatches

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Chocoholic. It really is a pretty shade up close & personal on lips, but against my skin tone, not so much.

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Budoir

Revlon Push Up Plum from the limited edition collection. Really a gorgeous intense shade but so high maintenance.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in High Beam Tan

Prestige Melba

New York Pro Makeup… a pink shade. NYPM uses numbers to indicate their shades, a peeve of mine.

Another NYPM nude, that is sadly a little streaky.

Yet another NYPM nude, but again, has the tendency to settle in lip lines a bit, even ones you didn’t know you had

And yet another NYPM nude, can you tell that I’ve experimented with a lot of nudes in this line?

NYC Blackberry Brandy Gloss… this was an LE color and despite its beauty in the tube, had more of a diseased look on my lips

Maybelline Lip Polish in Wrap Around Brown, a long ago LE color that is still in my stash with very high shimmer

Maybelline Wet Shine Vinyls Gloss in Pink Slicker

Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds Liquid in Marquis Peach

Max Factor Coral Capri Silk Gloss

L’Oreal H.I.P Lipstick in Moxie

Jane Lip Polish in Earth Sign

I was in love with a paticular discontinued maybelline lip polish in Wrap-Around-Brown. I haven’t seen it in years! So I decided to google it and came across your website. I was just wondering if you knew of any websites that might still sell it? I really appreciate it! Thank you so much, sincerely, Monika
